Aphrodite is the name of the ancient Greek goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, and procreation. She is one of the twelve Olympian gods and goddesses who reside on Mount Olympus. According to mythology, Aphrodite was born from the sea foam and is associated with numerous myths and legends, including her marriage to Hephaestus, the god of blacksmiths and metalworking, and her affairs with gods and mortals alike, such as Ares, the god of war. Her Roman equivalent is Venus.
